2017 April Webelos Woods

April 7th – 9th 2017

Troop 257 has been asked to be one of the three troops hosting the Shawnee Trails District’s Webelos Woods campoutWebelos Woods is an adventure designed to introduce 3rd and 4th grade boys and their parents to the exciting adventures ahead.  Our scouts will be helping the Webelos with fun activities, intriguing demonstrations, and plenty of outdoor excitement.  Please note Webelos Woods is a single night campout – on the subsequent night – we be performing setup and the OA tap Out.

Where / When: Meet at Atonement 5:00 pm Friday, April 7th wearing Class A Uniform. We need to get a quick start, so it is important that you arrive on time. Head to Theodore Naish Scout Reservation – Cub World Entrance 1100 Martinek Lane Kansas City, KS 66111

Cost: Free.

Meals:
Friday: Eat at home or bring sack dinner to eat on the drive.
Saturday: Hot Breakfast by Patrol, Cold Lunch by Patrol, Dinner (TBD)
Sunday: Breakfast (TBD)

Bring: Normal camping equipment
Drivers: I-435 West / North Go approx. 12 mi
Take exit 9 for State Hwy 32 toward Bonner Springs.
Go .5 mi Turn Right at Kaw Dr/KS-32 W.
Go 3.8 mi Turn right at S 121 St. / 121 St.
Go .6 mi Continue onto Martinek Lane
Go .4 mi Main camp entrance will be on right.

Continue to 2nd camp entrance – Cub World. As you enter, parking lot will be straight ahead.

Take right toward dining shelter to unload car, then return car to parking lot.
