2017 May Cole Camp Fishing Camp Out

We had our Cole Camp fishing trip with the boys. Lots of Catfish and Sunfish. Everyone had fresh catfish and Salmon for dinner.

 

 

 

May 12nd – 14th 2017

Thursday, 5/11/17 Load: Meet at church at 7:00 on Thurs. to load coolers (on ice), dry boxes, scout gear.  We need room in cars for passengers, so gear needs to be loaded in the trailer, which will head down early on Friday.

Friday, 5/12/17 Meet: At Atonement in Class B uniform at 5:00 pm.

Sunday, 5/14/17 Return: Atonement.  We will send an email when we break camp – and should arrive within 2 hours.  Best guesstimate around 10:45 or so, but watch for the email.

What: Fishing! Fun! Frivolity!  Large pond stocked with LOTS of fish – eat what you catch!  Sat. night is a campfire.

Where:  20412 Highway B, Cole Camp Missouri 65325.  Land owner advises Google Maps and MapQuest can’t find address.             GPS: 38.3866763914, -93.1595758234

I-435 East to I-470 East to US-50 East toward Sedalia for 68.8 Miles
Turn right ontoUS-65 S aka S Limit Ave. for 16.7 miles
Take MO-52 East exit toward Cole Camp
Turn left (East) onto Mo-52 drive through Cole Camp
Turn right (South) on Highway B aka Oak St.  Go 6.3 miles
Property on left side of road.  You’ll see a white post with address 20412 on it.  You will not see house or any buildings from road.  We plan to mark the spot with a sign to help drivers find us.

Cost: $5 per person.

Meals: Friday: Eat Dinner before you arrive or bring a sack dinner for the ride.

Saturday Breakfast: Hot Breakfast by Patrol
Saturday Lunch: Hot or cold lunch – Patrol choice
Saturday Dinner:  Cedar Smoked Salmon and/or Fish Fry (for those that catch fish)
Sunday Breakfast: Quick / Cold Breakfast by Patrol

Bring: Fishing pole(s) and tackle.  There will be a Johnny-on-the-spot but no running water at the campsite.  Typical spring campout gear – rain coat, flashlight, bug spray, long pants, etc.
